Position: Student Assistant I
Pay: $8.80-$10.45/hr.
Description: This position will be responsible for managing all social media engagement including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, LinkTree and other LGTBQIA Resource Center social accounts. They will also be responsible for the creation of content to be scheduled for social accounts. Job Duties • Responsible for scheduling all social media posts • Creates and schedules weekly reels and videos to promote programs, events, resources, and the spirit of the LGTBQIA Resource Center • Engages with social media audiences daily via Instagram story to ensure increased engagement • Tracks and keeps records of social media analytics – weekly, monthly, quarterly • Attend regular meetings/1:1s with professional staff • Maintain LinkTree • Manage/maintain LGBTQIA Resource Center virtual space • Other office duties/tasks as assigned Programming & Logistics Assistants (3) This position will be responsible for planning and logistics of LGTBQIA Resource Center programming. They will actively be involved in executing all requirements for center programming. This position will occasionally require hours outside of standard business hours. Job Duties • Responsible for logistics and communications for mid-scale programs including but not limited to, emails, attendance recording, creating Engage events for RSVP. Programs include Q Chats, Queer Coffeehouse, T+ events, and Ace Space Events Facilitates all Queer Coffeehouse events • Actively involved in logistics and planning of large-scale events such as Week of Welcome, Family Reunion, Big Gay Brunch, Transgender Day of Visibility, LGBTQIA History Month • Creates and executes at least 2 discussion-based programs per semester • Serves on programming collaboration committee for events such as Pride Prom, Coming Out Week, Healthy Relationship Week, etc. • Responsible for organizing and creating logistics for all tabling events • Other office duties/tasks as assigned Digital Content & Creative Assistant (2) - Job Duties This position will be responsible for the creation of all digital marketing materials for the resource center. They will work closely with the Social Media & Engagement Assistant. This position will also collaborate with the communications team for Student Engagement & Well Being. Job Duties • Works with division communication department to create evergreen content (I.e., brochures, tabling materials, etc). • Works with division communication department to help execute high quality digital marketing content • Creates all digital marketing material for heritage months and awareness days (I.e., TDOV, Latine Heritage Month, LGBTQIA History Month, etc.) • Creates and shares all digital marketing for department programs/awareness days with social media & Engagement Assistant and professional staff • Creates PowerPoints and digital material for mid-scale and large-scale programming if needed (I.e., Lavender Celebration, Trans Day of Remembrance, etc.) • Other office duties/tasks as assigned
