Our laboratory studies microbiomes. The student assistant will help with the maintenance, upkeep, and research in the microbiology and molecular biology lab. Duties will include cleaning, organization of supplies, enzyme assays, simple chemical analysis, nucleic acid extraction, and cultivation. As time permits, the student will be encouraged to perform independent research. The student assistant will work with postdoctoral scholars and Ph.D. students along with the faculty supervisor. |
